Below is a statement about upcoming American Cancer Society events in light of the coronavirus outbreak.

We are heading into what is an important time in our fundraising efforts for our mission, but the American Cancer Society’s top priority remains the health and safety of our volunteers, staff, and the cancer patients and their loved ones who rely on us. Therefore, ACS is suspending all events through mid-May 2020. Once the COVID-19 threat has subsided, we will work with our volunteers and communities to reschedule them. Moving forward, if this public health threat stretches out over several more weeks, we will again assess and make decisions beyond that time. We are grateful for all the dedication of our volunteers and appreciate the sacrifices they make to support our events. These events will be back. The COVID-19 situation remains uncertain and fluid and our goal is to respond in a way that best meets the health and safety needs of those who rely on us.
